iTunes Music Podcast Uses Apple TV to Deliver Innovative Surround Sound Music
Recording artist and producer Jeff Perrin today announced the iTunes launch of the Home Theater Ear Candy Podcast, a video podcast where Perrin shares his innovative surround sound music demos and experiments. The podcast features a Dolby Digital 5.1 soundtrack, optimized for iOS and the Apple TV, which allows viewers to experience the full effect of the surround sound demos when played back through their home theater audio system.
Perrin created the podcast in support of his ground-breaking Home Theater Ear Candy app-album for iOS, the first app to feature original music presented in Dolby Digital 5.1 surround sound audio.

Home Theater Ear Candy Version 1.1 Adds New Surround Sound Track
As previously mentioned, today’s update includes a fresh new surround track, “Blue Stratitude.” From the in-app track description:
“This gritty blues jam provides a great exercise for producing a surround sound music track that places the listener smack-dab in the middle of a famous Amsterdam music venue.”
